Apply to be part of the ASC Showcase! The event will showcase a juried mix of emerging visual and performing artists for presenters and curators who book regional talent in our state. Artists from a broad diversity of ethnic backgrounds, emerging artists, and artists with limited experience showcasing their work outside of their own communities, are encouraged to apply.
NOVEMBER 2014: ASC is planning a series of Artistic Development Workshops to aid artists from ethnic communities in career development and marketing. Then, artists can participate in the January Showcase, an event that will showcase a juried mix of visual and performing artists to presenters who book local talent in our region followed by a reception at the Bellevue City Hall.
For the 2014 Cultural Congress, Arts & Social Change mobilized a group of youth to plan the ASC Youth Symposium. Several young arts leaders (poets, street artists, photographers, and more) shared their work, artistic practices, and leadership processes.
Arts & Social Change planned a unique day of programming for the 2013 Cultural Congress, including keynote speaker Roberto Bedoya and Lightning Talks by a variety of local cultural leaders.
The first Arts & Social Change Symposium occurred in October 2012, with two full days of programming, performances, and workshops.
